Alondra (she/her) is an independently licensed clinical social worker in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia, and Certified Case Manager (CCM), who received both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Social Work degress from Howard University, and completed graduate professional studies in American Sign Language (ASL) at Gallaudet University. At Diasporic Healing, she serves as the Continuing Education Instructor, where she designs, develops, and facilitates continuing education content and curricula.
Alondra is passionate about people having access to high quality behavioral health care and knowing about resources in their communities that can help them reach their life's potential. For the past 14 years, she has worked in behavioral health in the DC metropolitan area, including providing treatment, supervising community-based SUD service provision, and healthcare financing policy and regulatory oversight. Alondra has also been facilitating workshops and trainings, and providing technical assistance to community based mental health clinics since 2014.
Alondra is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, the Association of Black Social Workers - DC Metro Chapter, and the DC National Pan Hellenic Council. In her spare time, Alondra teaches American Sign Language (ASL) for beginners through the DC Public Libraries' Center for Accessibility.
