With the historical and continuous experiences of oppression and marginalization imposed upon us as Black, Brown, and Indigenous peoples in the United States and globally, healing is vital in our now and in our way forward.
Healing occurs through many different paths, that therapy is one of many avenues to engage in personal and collective healing, and that we can honor the healing qualities of differing modalities and practitioners.
People have multiple moving parts of themselves and their identities, all of which must be respected, uplifted, and accounted for. In this space, all parts of yourself are welcome, and we make room to process the stigmas and marginalization experienced because of race, skin tone, sexuality, gender identity and expression, culture, religion, disability, body size, and other factors.
Healing is indeed possible! With a holistic, strengths-based, and collaborative approach, we are here as guides and facilitators in that healing journey, creating an environment that allows for you to be your full and true self, inviting you to find your footing in your lived experience, and giving yourself permission to say Yes to you.
You may have noticed this Adinkra symbol in our logo. It is the Dwennimmen, known as the "rams horns," noting the existence of strength and humility. At the same time.
We connect with this symbol and its concept deeply, as we consider this in our ability to see the Both And. That we can experience more than one truth at the same time. That there is possibility of holding strength and power, while also embracing and honoring our vulnerabilities. And how this can serve as purposeful and meaningful in our own healing journeys.
